Description
Amazon Japan is looking for a self-motivated and data-oriented Senior Product Manager, for our Selection team to lead Everyday Essentials Program. You will be responsible for creating and implementing mechanisms, tools, and online experiences that directly impact the products Amazon sells to our customers. In this highly visible role, you will be challenging senior leaders to think differently about how we structure our Everyday Essentials Business and pushing boundaries on tech capabilities to deliver the best customer experience when interacting with Japan’s selection on Amazon. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a lot of ambiguity. You enjoy influencing senior leaders, using data to drive decisions, establishing trust with global teams, and representing the customer in all online interactions. You will work closely with local business teams and operations team. In this role, you will demonstrate many of the Amazon Leadership Principles, including Dive Deep, Learn & Be Curious, Have Backbone, Invent & Simplify, Earn Trust, Think Big and Deliver Results.
Key job responsibilities
• Work backward from customer’s needs/pain points and translate them into business requirements
• Diving deep into internal and external data to understand selection gaps within Amazon
• Create and execute innovative and automated selection mechanisms and products that can scale locally and worldwide
• Work with global tech teams and internal stakeholders to develop new customer experiences for the growing JP business
• Develop and improve key metrics to improve the performance of our selection funnel
• Be accountable in internal business performance reviews with senior leaders to identify and deliver necessary improvements
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience owning technology products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
