Description
At Amazon we are building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors – called delivery partners – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems that allows delivery partners to onboard, schedule delivery times, guide them through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation, and more.
We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Field Team Lead to help establish Amazon Flex as the preferred provider while navigating complex issues across safety, risk, compliance and ER. The successful applicant will work with functions that cut across the organization, including technology, operations, legal and customer service to drive a great customer experience for our program. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing last mile delivery operation.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, highly analytical and detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. They must be an excellent writer who can succinctly communicate complicated issues in business terms, skilled at resolving escalations and responding timely to internal stakeholder requests. They must be a strong project manager who can manage multiple projects / controls and customers at once, constantly thinking big about innovation and the overall experience for third-party delivery partners and operational risk improvements.
• Build trust, influence and credibility with a matrixed set of stakeholders across the Flex business in AU and worldwide, as well as with partners in Safety, Legal, ER, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
• Drive strategy and implementation across a range of safety, legal, regulatory and ER workstreams in partnership with SMEs. Coordinate compliance requirements, including the documentation of SOPs and risk controls.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and instincts with stakeholders up to VP level. Deliver concise and effective messages to a variety of audiences with the right detail and timing.
• Apply strong judgment and contextual awareness to be able to act with a high degree of autonomy.
• Examine costs, benefits, and trade-offs across multiple customer groups to assess impacts and benefits of proposed projects.
About the team
Close knit AU team split between Sydney and Melbourne. Leaning into scaling and delivering best practice for a revolutionary last mile program!
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience defining and executing program requirements
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
Legal, risk or compliance experience in operations, transportation, or logistics
