The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Talent Acquisition team is seeking a talented, customer-focused Recruiter to join their team.

As a Recruiter at AWS, you'll spearhead candidate generation initiatives in collaboration with hiring managers across diverse roles in Australia. Your mission is to uncover, engage, and evaluate top-tier talent, leveraging your innovation and creativity with attraction strategies. This position is for a 12 month fixed term period.

Key job responsibilities

• Work closely with business in order to deeply understand the roles and responsibilities, and utilise this information to develop effective recruiting strategies.

• Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management, gauging candidates for cultural alignment and motivation rather than simply ‘sell a role’.

• Ensure all sourcing channels are sufficiently utilised, including but not limited to employee referrals, internal CRM, career portals, job fairs, etc.

• Be a subject matter expert on the talent market and offer ideas and strategies related that will contribute to the long-range talent landscape.

• Implement new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.

• Active participation in the recruitment efforts, including emphasis on the capability of assessing skills to help evaluate candidates and ensuring the highest bar.

• Manage well on all the data associated with the recruitment process. Data-driven thinking and systematic approaches in achieving the operation excellence.

• Emphasis on continuous improvement, as such it is expected that you will spend time to ensure ongoing education of hiring managers and interviews on recruitment “best practice” and interview skills training.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Melbourne, VIC, AUS | Sydney, NSW, AUS

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical recruiting in high volume and high hiring bar environment experience

  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships

  • Creative sourcing capability with the ability to proactively network and establish active pipeline of external candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow among candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team

  • Strong consulting skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
