AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The Media & Entertainment, Games, and Sports Business Unit supports customers globally.

Key job responsibilities

  • Building and executing a regional go-to-market (GTM) strategy focused on driving growth at scale in the region through the AWS field of Media & Entertainment, Games, and Sports stakeholders.

  • Analyzing customer needs and opportunity in region, identifying segment and solution priorities, and developing country-specific strategies to grow the business through the AWS field.

  • Delivering scalable, durable, repeatable sales enablement, activation, and training programs in region, in collaboration with regional stakeholders and Worldwide teams.

  • Evangelizing, equipping, and empowering APJ account teams to identify, qualify, progress, and convert opportunities, as measured by YoY increase in incremental pipeline and ARR in region.

  • Driving awareness and adoption of GTM initiatives, messaging, and materials to ensure a consistent and cohesive industry voice.

  • Localizing industry solutions content for context, relevance, sensitivity, and applicability in region, including sourcing and showcasing local partners and local customer success stories.

  • Leading and organizing the APJ Regional Community Call for the Media & Entertainment, Games, and Sports field community.

  • Extending WW MEGS reach and influence by building buy-in with cross-functional teams, leveraging those relationships to align on shared goals, and scaling sales enablement across the region.

  • Bringing regional Voice of Field (VOF) feedback and signals back to the Worldwide team to incorporate into the global GTM and Solutions strategy and closing the loop with regional stakeholders on how we are actioning against that feedback.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 7+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
