You should be comfortable diving deep into technical architectures and requirements, be able to quickly identify solutions to challenges discovered during development, and ready to work with latest mobile technology. Prior experience in building solutions for video streaming, mobile app or advertising is required. Key job responsibilities
Serve as an SME for the project that you are handling
Lead through example and build a culture of quality.
Coach and mentor developers on the team for quality practices and hold them accountable to the highest quality standards
Define test metrics, lead automation efforts and constantly explore new test automation tools and methods.
Exercise strong planning skills
Establish processes and build tools to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports
Understand component test strategies for product architecture, making technical and risk trade-off decisions at test framework level
Build load, stress, and soak testing for the system
Contribute to the Quality roadmap for the product with Automation First approach.

Basic Qualifications
9+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
Experience in manual testing
Experience in automation testing
Experience with test automation tools, schedulers, frameworks, and harnesses.
Bachelor's Degree
Experience in OTT / Video Streaming industry
Preferred Qualifications
10+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, C#, Python or PERL.
Proven experience in measuring and reporting quality and driving improvements across team.
Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data and logs.
Fluent in at least one scripting language, and the ability to read Java code.
Understanding the scope of different types of testing: unit, integration, functional and regression tests
Experience testing both frontend applications and backend services, including functional API testing, integration testing, and UI functionality and usability testing
Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs
Experience with quality metrics and clear status reporting
Experience in testing OTT / video streaming industry specifically in one of the three areas: 1) Personalization and ML or Transcoding technology 2) Experience working in Android & Player Tech 3) Experience building CMS systems & Video Catalogue Management systems
