ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Audible is looking for an energetic, experienced, organized and detail-oriented Production Manager to help manage the workflow for all Audible APAC Original content, from development through to release on a 12 month contract. Reporting in to the Director, Audible Studios APAC, the Production Manager will work closely with the creative development team, to help oversee the Originals content pipeline and the delivery of our original, audio-first titles across Australia, India and Japan. They will also help manage our creative partners, supporting the vision and standards for original output including studio selection, talent casting, cost management and readiness.

ABOUT YOU:

You have production management experience in either the audio or video mediums, along with a proven track record of successfully managing a pipeline of content. You have a love for great audio storytelling. You have excellent communication skills, great attention to detail and a desire to raise standards at all times. You are a problem solver, able to troubleshoot production issues, and find innovative solutions, based on industry trends and best practices, to production challenges. Finally, you are an adaptable, team player, and can quickly refocus when priorities change.

This position is a 12 month fixed-term contract.

As a Production Manager, Originals, APAC, you will...

  • Provide support in overseeing a high volume of Audible Original content across APAC, and optimise development and production workflows with internal teams and external studios

  • Work closely with programming, build production timelines and manage delivery schedules

  • Provide support and recommendations to the internal creative development and studio teams throughout the production process

  • Provide support and recommendations to external production houses, external studios and talents on all aspects of production, including quality checks and talent management when necessary

  • Keep up to date with Audible guidelines, technical specifications and legal compliance

  • Support production budgeting, contracting, and all end-to-end logistical co-ordination, documentation and communication with relevant stakeholders including legal reviews and clearances

  • Maintain, nurture and build an external resource of high quality external/third party production partner network

  • Work cross functionally to achieve delivery and ensure that all titles meet the necessary requirements to launch

  • Optimise procedures, processes and best practices. Set high standards and leverage your experience to continue Audible’s reputation as a leader in the audio space

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent qualifications

  • Experience with production management, including handling multiple productions concurrently

  • Experience working across multiple markets across APAC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and communications skills

  • Audio production experience

  • An existing network of relationships with producers, studios, directors, casting agents, talent managers
