Amazon Data Center Operations team deploys and maintains the servers and infrastructure in our data centers. Amazon uses large-scale, high-density data centers and we support our customers 24x7 all year. We are looking for a Rack Decommissioning Data Technician to join our growing team. The Decommissioning Technician is responsible for processing and facilitating large scale legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process to ensure that targeted equipment is ready to be removed off premises. Team members will also process large volumes of customer data to ensure that all customer data is sanitized and properly managed.

이에 지속적으로 성장하고 있는 Amazon 데이터센터 팀에서는 데이터센터내에서 운영중인 레거시 장비에 대한 Rack 해체 및 폐기작업을 진행할 데이터테크니션을 모집하고 있습니다.

이는 레거시 장비를 신속하게 해체/폐기 처리하여 고객을 위한 새로운 장비가 설치 될 수 있도록 도울 뿐만 아니라 폐기되는 장비에 존재하는 고객데이터를 안전하게 보호하는 일을 포함합니다.

Key job responsibilities

• Decommissioning and processing of legacy hardware out of the data center facilities

• Relocating and moving of large enterprise equipment

• Hard drive installation, removal and destruction

• Creating/attaching labels and barcodes

• Basic Networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations

• Updating progress through a web ticketing system

• Documenting procedures

• Escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required

• HDD/SSD/Flash/Removable storage media handling

• 데이터센터 시설에서 레거시 하드웨어 해체 및 처리

• 대규모 기업 장비의 이동 및 이전 설치

• 하드 드라이브 설치,제거 및 파괴

• 라벨 및 바코드의 생성 및 부착

• 기본적인 네트워크 장비의 설치/제거 및 설정 초기화

• 웹 시스템을 통한 진행 상황 업데이트

• 관련 절차 문서화 진행

• 상급 기술자 및 팀리더에게 진행사항 보고

• HDD/SSD/Flash 및 이동식 저장매체 처리

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of IT infrastructure operations experience or equivalent experience.

• Ability to lift & install equipment up to 20kg; it may require working in narrow spaces or in elevated locations. while adhering to health & safety guidelines.

• Applicants must have valid work authorization in Korea.

Preferred Qualifications

• Linux Operating System, Hardware or Networking certifications.

• Basic understanding of Network operation / support experience.

• Understanding of IT service management.

• Understanding of Data Center environment safety and security.

• Business level of English communication skills
