The Amazon Exports (AE) team provides customers anywhere in the world access to a friction-less shopping experience aligned with Amazon’s brand promise to offer vast selection, great prices, and shopping convenience. We aim to delight cross-border (XB) customers by delivering a localized and personalized shopping experience and a reliable and accurate delivery experience. To help introduce local customers to Amazon.com, the AE Business Development team engages strategic partners around the world to run promotions that drive awareness of and engagement with Amazon.com. We are looking for a customer-focused Business Development Manager to drive planning and execution of partner-funded promotions that offer a compelling shopping experience to Amazon.com customers around the world.

In this role you will wear both a business development and program management hat. You’ll identify and engage potential new clients to join our program and manage the day-to-day programs to ensure our partners and customers receive the best customer experience. You’ll enjoy identifying and closing new business partnerships, and executing promotions to grow your existing client set. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, customer and client-focused, and passionate about providing customers high-quality promotions at compelling prices. Ideal candidates also move and respond quickly, have strong analytical skills, and possess a knack for inventing and simplifying processes to improve team productivity. This is a global role requiring interaction with teams (internal and external) around the world. The ability to communicate effectively with various business stakeholders is critical. International travel may be required.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will:

· Identify, engage, and close new partnerships across a variety of international regions to join our promotions program to create compelling offers for international customers

· Identify, propose and implement strategies to grow your business across a variety of international regions

· Collaborate with external partners to build promotion plans and execute the end-to-end promotion process.

· Work with internal and external teams to source, create, and approve customer-facing marketing materials that adhere to Amazon’s Brand Guidelines

· Develop and track key performance metrics to help meet business KPIs, including customer acquisition and revenue targets

· Identify and evangelize opportunities to improve processes to increase overall team efficiency

· Present and explain promotion performance to internal and external stakeholders through weekly meetings, business reviews and reports

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
