Amazon Finance Manager, WW Selling Partner Services in Seattle, Washington

The Selling Partner Services (SPS) team operates the business, technology and seller services that make Amazon the best place on Earth for 3rd party sellers to start and grow a global business. Today, the vast majority of those sellers choose to do so trusting Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) to fully manage their selection from the factory floor to the customer door, allowing sellers to leverage the power of Amazon’s global fulfillment network.

Our mission in WW FBA is to enable the long-term success of our sellers by building best-in-class processes and tools that make FBA the simplest, most reliable and profitable channel for our sellers. Our store has enabled sellers of all sizes and origins to compete in an evolving global market, and today WW sellers serve tens of millions of items to customers globally.

We are looking for a Finance Manger to help lead WW FBA FP&A. In this role you will analyze all aspects of the business from topline, operating profit as well as key input metrics that drive the business. You’ll partner closely with the business leadership, financial systems, controllership and various internal and external finance teams to drive core financial processes. The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders in order to understand the business strategy, drivers for topline, revenue and cost in order to deliver high quality insights to senior leaders and influence decisions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Refine and drive the core financial processes for WW FBA including annual operating plans, 3-year strategic plan, long range plan and Monthly/Quarterly business reviews.

  • Generate insights from financial data, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and using excelled verbal and written communication, share findings with the leadership team to drive business actions.

  • Work with stakeholders to determine what standardized financial reporting packages are needed as well as business intelligence teams on automating and expanding these key reports to include world wide views and more detailed slices by ASP bands, seller location and product lines.

  • Peek around corners, have bias for action in ensuring the team is set up for success in achieving our goals, and earns trust with stakeholders.

  • Influence successfully at all levels, think strategically, is a talented finance manager and a strong organizer, takes initiative, and operates effectively across many teams.

A day in the life

As the WW FBA Finance Manager you will work closely with multiple stakeholders. You will be responsible for leading complex financial analysis, influencing business owners and engaging cross functional teams to help leadership in shaping future decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
