Our Demand Generation team acts as the flywheel for pipeline and talent within the AWS Global Sales organization, focusing on prospects and customers of all types by generating new business opportunities across thousands of accounts. As a Demand Generation Representative (DGR), you will have the exciting opportunity to help prospects and customers solve critical business challenges, pursue growth, and maximize business impact using AWS solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with other sales team members to ensure the opportunity is understood and next steps are clearly defined via demonstrations, discovery, and qualification.

  • Utilize product knowledge and internal resources that will help you leverage technical skill sets to meet customers’ needs.

  • Achieve all input and output goals including, but not limited to: leads qualified, customer calls complete, meetings scheduled, and opportunities created.

  • Accurately track activity and develop pipeline using a CRM (Salesforce), with the ability to leverage self-service reporting tools.

  • Innovate new and creative ways to engage with new customers and expand on existing customer relationships.

  • Understand the technology footprint, technical challenges, and business objectives that each one of your customers faces.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in a proactive prospecting or cold calling environment

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to show initiative in learning complex technology

  • Strong bias for action and a laser focus on working backwards from goals and customer needs

  • Adaptable in managing high-volume requests

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed team environment

  • Demonstrates ability to leverage customers’ feedback and need to build successful relationships

  • Passion for sales and desire to develop into a world-class Cloud Account Manager

  • Proven track record of top performance in a new business acquisition role

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $125,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
