Amazon Sr. Program manager, Payroll in Prague, Czech Republic

Description

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to drive process improvement within the Global Payroll organization. This position will design and execute initiatives impacting payment processes and will collaborate with both internal and external partners. We are looking for a strong communicator with an eagerness to dive deep, learn new systems, and build mechanisms to enable operational teams to streamline payment processes.

You will be working with teams across the globe and will be responsible for coordinating and representing payments related projects to various stakeholders including Payroll Operations, HR, Treasury, Tech teams and Banking partners. You will be involved in multiple simultaneous global projects that require project management ability. You are expected to take ownership, identify process improvement opportunities, and drive positive change in the organization.

You must be a self-starter with a strong controllership mindset who is enthusiastic to learn within a very dynamic global business environment.

Key job responsibilities

-Establish self-service tools and resources to enable Payroll Operations teams to identity and resolve payment issues

-Identify process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring metrics, analyzing data, and partnering with internal and external teams

-Coordinate with Payroll, Treasury, and Bank partners to drive root cause analysis and remediation of payment processing issues

-Coordinate with teams across Operations, Finance, Accounting, HR, and IT to ensure that best practices are followed and implemented

-Identify payment improvement opportunities with banking partners and implement end-to-end new processes

Basic Qualifications

• Previous experience with tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.) experience

• Experience with applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

• Previous experience with years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

• Previous experience with creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • Ability to work with data, identification incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • Experience on business relationship management

  • Knowledge of payments industry and trends
