Amazon Freight blends advanced technology with a network of 20,000+ Intermodal Containers, building on the world class network and freight services currently used to operate Amazon’s own freight movements. We are looking for complex problem solvers who are able to build and manage relationships with senior leaders at Fortune 500 companies to externalize these transportation capabilities as a service.

As a Sr. Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee relationships with Amazon Freight Sales, Sales Operations as well as Amazon Intermodal Operations. As the primary owner of shipper success, you will be responsible for customer advocacy, driving continuous improvement and collaborating to deliver on customer commitments to create a high-performing profitable service. In this role, you will drive new business growth and deliver a high-quality customer experience in an ambiguous space by building processes and programs to launch and scale shipper accounts as well as create metrics and benchmarking strategies to measure success and drive continuous improvement. This Sr. Supply Chain Manager will also create and align goals to overall business strategy within the greater intermodal program, act as a trusted advisor and advocate for improving the overall shipper experience and own the end-to-end programmatic approach to maintain a higher bar for shipper launches across all stakeholders. This role will be involved in all aspects of the intermodal business and requires a leader with learning agility and desire to work cross functionally with both internal and external organizations.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for defining and executing a strategic shipper account launch plan, including aligning stakeholders internally and externally to deliver on the objectives

  • Create program goals and related metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles to help team achieve objectives

  • Partner with operations leaders to define scalable operating plans for shipper account launches and expansions

  • Collaborate with Business Partners to develop automation and enhancement of regular reporting for the broader business

  • Identify, optimize, and scale improvements that can benefit a large set of customers, e.g. driving efficiencies through tools, reporting and processes, simplifying SOPs, partnering with external teams to align programs etc.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, and support related projects as needed

  • Conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

  • Contribute to goal setting for your team to align with organizational goals and contribute to business strategy development and identify the correct input metrics that drive growth and improve the end customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

  • 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
