The Global Fleet and Products team is responsible for maximizing the productivity of Amazon's delivery fleet and ensuring vehicles are in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand. Our delivery partners work out of stations across North America and are assigned delivery routes and packages 7 days a week that are delivered to customers by Amazon vehicles. As customer demand grows, more of Amazon's vehicles will need to hit the road more often. In high-velocity periods like Prime Day and the holidays, our partners need more vehicles than ever to deliver smiles to customers.

Amazon is seeking a creative self-starter who will own Global Fleet & Product’s (GFP) High Volume Event (HVE) Planning. This role will support AMZL, AMXL, RSR and CA. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of delivering projects in a data-driven environment, has a solid technical toolkit including SQL and excels in stakeholder management. This individual should also thrive on independence and be comfortable in an ambiguous environment. They will influence leadership, communicate ideas effectively (verbally and in writing), and build consensus among groups with competing priorities.

Key job responsibilities

  • Support the creation of HVE strategy and lead the execution. This work will include document writing/ ownership, data analysis, and SOP creation.

  • Lead and provide direction to cross-functional teams (Tiger Teams). This includes daily meetings with Tiger Team leads during Prime Day and Q4 Peak. This will also include in-site events, training, and coaching.

  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to leadership for HVE performance.

  • Work with our Analytics team to improve reporting dashboards and create mechanisms to track HVE goals and deficits.

  • Serve as the escalation point, root-cause the escalation and provide resources to solve issues. Escalate issues to leadership as needed and work with cross-functional partners to solve issues.

  • Serve as the EV escalations Fleet Capacity POC, providing guidance and support to the AMZL Energy team on the next steps for SEV 1 & SEV 2 escalations.

A day in the life

The person in this role will perform a variety of activities in any given day. An example day could include leading a cross-functional meeting to understand the root cause of a problem, performing analysis to estimate the financial impact of a decision, editing a document that refines an Amazon-wide policy, and making decisions impacting Amazon's fleet capacity plan for the holidays.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with technical and business functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent

  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
