Amazon New Global Vendor Manager part time/full time, Selection - Global Vendor Onboarding in Munich, Germany

Amazon is looking for a smart, team-oriented, highly analytical innovator to join the EU Selection team as New Vendor Manager (m/w/d) Global Vendor Onboarding based in Munich to facilitate new partnerships with international vendors aiming at integrating their product portfolio into Amazon European websites.

Operating in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment you will need to engage in projects that will drive business growth and help shape the future of Amazon Retail in EU. We expect that you can work autonomously, think both strategically and tactically, and take full control and responsibility for achieving your goals.

This position is available in part-time or full-time.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Dive deep on data to identify key international brands to target, initiate and grow long term relationships with brands’ senior management, resolve any operational, logistical or business issues, own negotiations on Amazon’s behalf and manage the respective category.

• Drive strategic project work streams and goals in order to drive long-term improvements and strategy for the business across the entire division.

• Be a business consultant to your vendors and provide insights and advice for them, being able to deal with different business profiles and sectors. Help new vendors to integrate their catalogue data into Amazon’s EU platform, master Amazon’s internal tools and train vendors on how to use these tools.

• Manage comprehensive selection across multiple large brands, developing collaborative marketing and promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements.

• Show bias for action and resourcefulness to engage with high potential vendors who are hard to contact.

• Continually raise the bar when on-boarding vendors – focusing on those with highest potential and maximum customer impact.

• Pro-actively identify solutions and projects that help scale the New-vendor business.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Experience in an e-commerce, retail, key account management/consulting environment with a proven track record of delivering results

• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- A passionate, self-starter, ready to take Amazon’s european customer experience to the next level.

• Strong and successful communication skills which include the ability to write compelling, concise documents.

• Fluent English language skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Excel and database work, with experience in SQL as a plus.

• Experience in managing vendor relations

• Cross functional experience, especially finance, marketing or supply chain.

• Negotiating skills, influencing abilities and relationship management experience.

• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
