Description

The Amazon Studios team is looking for a highly motivated Content Standards manager to execute the review of Amazon Original television series and movies in India. They will work closely with the Creative Development, Programming, Production and Legal teams, always making sure to represent the voice of our customers. This position will require prior S&P experience and expertise, knowledge of content related policies (especially for OTT), and an understanding of shifting customer and cultural sensitivities. The successful candidate will have proven proficiency in the implementation of Standard & Practices policies for film and television, direct project management experience, and experience of managing a team. They will have strong analytical abilities and proficient written and verbal communication skills. They also will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The position will sit in Mumbai reporting to The Head of Content Standards IN.

Key job responsibilities

Review scripts of scripted television series and movies, as well as creative outlines for non-scripted television series and documentaries

Screen and provide written notes and/or approvals on production cuts and final versions of each title.

Help lead internal discussions with all stakeholder teams regarding content to ensure that it reflects the diversity of our customers and enhances their experience.

Keep track and inform Programming, Production, and/or Operations of any outstanding issues so they can be resolved before launch dates

Maintain positive working relationship with all stakeholders involved in creating and producing programming that is acceptable for the Prime Video service

Accurately represent, and advocate for, the Prime Video customer in all analysis and meetings

Document S&P discussions and decisions throughout the evaluation process in order to provide context and rationale for future reference

A day in the life

Review and approve all compliance for Hindi originals IN. This includes script, development and final sign-off.

This position is with the Global CS team and aligns with Legal Studios.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of regulatory and risk management experience

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 7+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of handling content compliance for original productions

  • Experience in in-depth S&P practices

  • Knowledge of regulatory laws and guidelines
