Description

The Operations Team Lead (L5) is responsible for leading and managing a team of 5 operations personnel across multiple sites. This position oversees the day-to-day operations, coordinates cross-functional initiatives, and ensures operational excellence and efficiency. The Team Lead serves as the key point of contact for their team and partners closely with other department leads.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee a team of 5 operations staff located across 3 different sites

Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvement

Monitor team performance, set goals, and provide coaching and mentorship to drive professional development

Coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives involving the operations team

Identify and resolve operational issues, bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies

Analyze metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for optimization and make data-driven decisions

Collaborate with other department leads to ensure alignment and integration of operations

Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior management

Foster a positive, productive, and engaged team culture

Key job responsibilities

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in an operations leadership role

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field

Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams

Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Proficient in data analysis and process improvement methodologies

Experience working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

About the team

A Day in the Life of an Operations Team Lead (L5)

Throughout the day, the Operations Team Lead stays agile, responds to urgent issues, and maintains regular communication with the team and cross-functional partners. The role requires a balance of strategic planning, hands-on management, and effective collaboration to ensure seamless operations across multiple sites.

Mexico City, DIF, MEX

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of team management experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 4+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 4+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • English proficiency: Advanced (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
