The Ring PXT (aka HR) team is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our PXT team. This person will support the CS and Ops teams and partner with senior leaders to create and drive people and business initiatives, and cultivate identity and culture within the organization. You'll use your stellar business acumen and influencing skills to imagine, drive, and execute on the full breadth of HR domain areas across our global business.

This role will be based in one of our core Hubs. This is a hybrid role (3 days a week in the office) because we believe it is easier to learn, model, practice, and strengthen our culture when we're in the office surrounded by our colleagues.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with PXT team members and business leaders to create and execute people strategy, develop senior leaders, and mitigate risks across the organization

• Engage with senior leaders and specialist subject matter experts - such as Talent Management, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, etc. - to define and tackle organizational challenges

• Think big about how to implement longer-term strategic initiatives like workforce planning, HR/PXT effectiveness, and career development

• Work with the business to define and drive organizational health metrics, lead talent reviews, and champion ID&E initiatives

• Develop and execute a life-cycle approach to HR programs such as performance management, compensation cycles, and talent management by assessing organizational performance, defining talent gaps and proposing solutions in support of business objectives

• Coach and consult on organizational design and management issues, as well as challenging and/or influencing decision-making processes

• Streamline and implement new processes to create speed, efficiency and agility within the organization

• Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development and retention

• Successful candidates will have demonstrated the ability to understand business goals as well as design and implement new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company

About the team

In this position, you will help your business leaders develop and execute HR priorities that enable business priorities and foster the employee experience. It requires strong leadership and team collaboration across global leadership teams, as well as Amazon wide projects and HR initiatives. We are looking for a seasoned professional who will partner with business leaders on strategic people initiatives, has the ability to implement and optimize HR programs and processes, as well as identify and drive appropriate solutions aligned with labor relations, HR policies, processes. We are looking for a Human Resources leader who has the ability to diagnose issues and influence long term solutions and outcomes. You must be able to collaborate across groups, influence all levels of the organization. You should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and engaging on a hands-on basis with individuals and teams as well as operating strategically with leadership teams. You will need strong business acumen, executive coaching skills, excellent communications skills, strategic thinking, and planning/project management skills. You must be able to balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions, and facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience

· 10+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a business partner role

· 5+ years’ experience working as a business partner, and driving organizational change initiatives and developing talent management plans for global organization teams

· Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation, data visualization, and facilitation skills

· Strong judgment and experience coaching exec leadership and strong talent assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred

• HR experience in high-tech or supply chain industries

• Experience partnering with business leaders as an influential and credible senior HR leader

• Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving

• Proven ability to diagnose issues, drawing on both professional experience and strategic thinking skills, and drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative.

• Not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done

• Strong analytical skills, including the understanding of metrics to support plans and monitor performance

• Excellent written and verbal communication to prepare high quality documents, as well as present and facilitate group meetings and events

• Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization

• Experience coaching senior leaders and managers

• Strong talent assessment skills

• Project management skills; ability to lead projects, gain buy-in and drive to execution and achievement of the right results

• Self-starter, able to work both independently as well as an active member of both business and HR teams

• Experience partnering with executive business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business settings

• Experience with MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel (ability to create pivot tables, use Vlookup and other formulas)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
