Amazon Supply Chain Program Manager, EU Network Planning in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

Amazon is looking for an experienced Program Manager, Supply Chain, with a strong delivery record and senior leadership experience to own and manage strategic, cross-functional operations and technology projects. Our team drives forecasts, plans, and optimizes the flow of billions of units each year. We own and drive long term fulfilment centre (FC) decisions including site location, design, capacity expansion (buildouts), financial viability and impact on network dynamics.

The Program Manager will own the BRS (Building Requirement Sheet) program from the EU Network Planning team, with the objective of improving network efficiency by successfully partnering with various stakeholder teams such as Global Engineering Services, Worldwide Design Team, Project Management Office and Finance to propose the most feasible building requirements suited for long term network requirements. The BRS program aims to drive exhaustive inputs for site selection and process design for new FCs as well as retrofits of existing FCs to ensure on-time and efficient building delivery. This high-visibility role will require working with stakeholders globally to prioritize projects which support both new products/programs and existing operations and supply chain systems.

Key job responsibilities

• Ownership of BRS Program for EU Network Planning. Ensure on-time delivery of BRS supply chain metrics, providing customers with a mid to long-term view on expected storage, throughput and product mix requirements which are critical inputs for downstream teams to plan FC design.

• Analysing future network programs and designs to understand their impact on capacity, cost, speed, and reliability to eventually flow into the BRS

• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive analysis, business cases and alignment with business stakeholders

• Write and review strategic documents to update senior leadership on the progress of network programs

Basic Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or similar quantitative field.

• Experience of working in a highly complex analytical environment preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation Planning.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.

• Advanced Excel knowledge is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or similar quantitative field

• Proficiency in any scripting language, preferably Python or R.

• Proficiency in SQL
