Amazon Inbound Carrier Manager, EU Inbound Supply Chain in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Inbound Carrier Manager who can reshape the Inbound carrier management space. In a world where we want to expand to more managed carriers for a better service to our vendors and grow our internal carrier for future scalability, the Carrier Manager will align strategies maintaining a good relationship with external carriers and supporting internal growth. As an Inbound Carrier Manager, you will be responsible for the operational setup and execution of managed carriers, monitoring their service level and building future strategy with them, that meets our customers’ needs while satisfying performance and budget goals.

Key job responsibilities

You will be responsible for defining the strategy on inbound operations in the light of continuous expansion of Amazon Freight, keeping the good business relationship with the carriers

• You will be responsible for delivering the KPIs defined for inbound space, including root cause analysis, solution design and implementation

• You will be responsible for meeting both fixed and variable cost goals through procurement and peak design/execution

• You will be responsible for IPCP carries and ensure our partners are efficient, effective, and compliant to our operational standards.

• You will manage internal support teams and build processes and tools to enable scalable and flexible operations.

• You will develop risk management strategies to ensure the network can operate smoothly during peak periods. Identifying at-risk operations and proactively developing/executing contingency protocols to avoid service failures will be expected.

• You will communicate operation and program status, risks, and propose resolutions to key stakeholders. Work closely with upstream and downstream teams, as well as other cross functional teams to identify and remove systematical failures to improve the consistency and precision inbound services.

• Successful candidates will be excellent communicators, curious, thinking big, highly motivated and effective within distributed teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Management, Supply Chain or similar degrees

  • Experience in managing and implementing high complexity projects

  • Experience managing, negotiating, and communicating with internal/external business partners to meet organizational capacity needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to peers and senior leadership teams.

  • Ability to formulate a strategy taking into account ambiguous and dynamic environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA in Economics, Management, Supply Chain or similar degrees
