Amazon EF Procurement Specialist, Central Operations Services in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Central Operations Services (COS) team, and play a pivotal role in managing specific procurement related processes within our EU External Fulfilment (EF) network.

You will be a self-motivated individual with an interest for leading network-wide processes, accountable for supporting various EF operations and streamlining quarterly process of performance reviews.

As part of the role, you will work with internal & external stakeholders to track operational performance at a quarterly-level. You will lead discussions with external stakeholders and be responsible for providing root cause-analysis as well as provide recommendations to Operations Managers and Procurement Leads on how to best leverage underperformance in order to incentivize 3PLs to comply with contractual KPIs, while minimising risk to the business.

Key job responsibilities

  • Deliver on Quarterly performance reports and present them to respective Amazon Operations Managers, as well Procurement Lead

  • Perform dive deeps or adhoc data extractions to pinpoint root cause analysis to provide recommendations to key stakeholders on underperformance responsibilities

  • Act as the interface between the external provider and internal Amazon stakeholders on performance data (KPIs)

  • Lead negotiations to enforce Penalties with external provider, with support of Amazon Ops Manager and Procurement Lead

  • Contribute to the EF team continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. document processes, improve internal tools) by liaising with Operations Excellence, Finance, or other Teams

  • Utilize benchmark standards & continuously train to develop a Subject Matter Expertise

You are expected to be available on the month following the end of a quarter (e.g. April for Q1, July for Q2, so on). This period typically has a heavier workload since the quarterly reports have to be delivered, as well as reviewed by Amazon Operations Managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a Science or Logistics based discipline or MBA graduate

  • Working knowledge of Amazon concepts (e.g., Efficient Receive), KPIs (e.g. Concessions, Late SLAM)

  • Analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skill set

  • Internal and external stakeholder management skills

  • Negotiation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (inc. intermediate/advanced excel proficiency)

  • English as primary or additional language

  • Basic project management skills applied to follow simple projects to completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of SQL, VBA and Quicksight

  • Ability to prioritize, manage and execute projects on a tight schedule

  • Ability to adapt well to rapidly changing circumstances, directions and strategies

  • Fluent in German, French, Spanish, Polish or Italian
