As AWS rapidly grows as the business and in the Americas, we are seeking a sales leader focusing on all customers in a vertical market of Telco, Media & Entertainment, Games and Sports to build, shape and grow this part of our business. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast growing and entrepreneurial organization, bringing innovation and growing the adoption of AWS. This role will build and lead a team of sales resources supported by a virtual team of experts, and will engage in the highly complex yet rewarding work of enhancing our strategy to grow adoption of cloud computing in this space. It will also be responsible for developing opportunity pipelines, evangelizing cloud computing and driving revenue and user adoption with high levels of autonomy. This role will communicate at the C-suite as well as with software developers, partners, and IT architects. He/she will also be responsible for working with the AWS partner team to develop a robust partner ecosystem.

In particular, he/she will:

· Accelerate the implementation of the TMEGS vertical and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to execute the vision and go-to-market strategy while extending reach and driving adoption in a highly complex environment

· Lead the AGS business strategy and partner engagement that drives impact and adoption across the TMEGS industry

· Develop account strategies and coverage model

· Drive revenue and market share, meeting or exceeding revenue targets

· Develop and execute against a set of goals including customer references, support, training

· Ensure the organization is well trained to deliver

· Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed marketing and sales engagements

· Develop and deliver compelling ROI to drive adoption of AWS Gen AI solutions by collaborating cross-functionally to continuously strengthen AWS's Gen AI value proposition

The ideal candidate will possess both a sales background that enables them to drive an engagement as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and architects. He/she should also be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about sales, business, product, and technical challenges with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work across the organization to build consensus. He/she will have domain expertise and have a perspective on how Cloud is impacting the industry and the competitive landscape.

In this role, you will lead and influence customers to leverage AWS innovations to power their digital transformation outcomes in the cloud. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast growing and entrepreneurial organization, bringing innovation and growing the adoption of cloud. This role will require you to scale a highly complex environment through strategic initiatives within the Enterprise area. You will be responsible for developing opportunity pipelines, evangelizing cloud computing, and driving revenue and user adoption. You will also be responsible for building the AWS go-to-market through both your dedicated team and the cross-functional ecosystems.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ year’s technology related sales management and field operations experience working for a software or cloud solutions vendor leading teams that sell to Fortune 2000 accounts

• 7+ year’s second line management experience (manager of managers) leading sales organizations with 50+ headcount

• 7+ years’ experience managing sales organizations with revenues of at least $500MPreferred Qualifications

BA/BS in Computer Science, business, or related field MBA a plus Professional traits that are not unique to this position, but necessary for Amazon leaders:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $224,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $333,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
