AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. As an Industrial IoT Solutions Architect with a focus on Digital Twins, you will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation for our customers in manufacturing, energy, power generation, and utilities. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies that leverage Digital Twin technology to optimize industrial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive business value.

In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand their unique challenges and requirements, and design innovative solutions that integrate Digital Twin models with Industrial IoT data streams. You will be responsible for architecting and deploying end-to-end Digital Twin solutions, leveraging AWS IoT services, AI/ML and Generative AI technologies, and other relevant AWS services.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Key job responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.

  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.

  • Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.

  • Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.

  • Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

  • Experience with management of technical, customer facing resources

  • Experience delivering scalable Industrial IoT Solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

  • Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

  • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise

  • Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
