Amazon Finance Manager, EU Retail Finance in London, United Kingdom

**This role will consider candidates within our EU6 marketplaces (Luxembourg, London, Munich, Paris, Milan, Madrid).
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the EU Amazon TCEE Retail Finance team. This owner of this role is responsible for the full P&L of the Office business and will guide strategic decision-making among senior business leaders. You will partner closely with the Retail team, Finance and other business groups, to support and monitor the strategic, financial and operational plans of the consumer business. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to provide analytical support for executive decision-making based on quantitative analyses, think strategically, and manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Partner with Directors and Senior Managers to drive strategic initiatives and long term success
Develop financial and operational plans to achieve long-term business goals
Conduct business reviews, evaluate progress toward business goals, and communicate progress to senior management
Perform analyses and develop financial frameworks to identify opportunities for business improvement
Review and report monthly and quarterly financial and operational performance to business leaders
Maintain a strong financial control environment
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
