Key job responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced IT Application Manager for Amazon’s Treasury Management Team. This team is responsible to support various financial functions, including Global Cash Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, Accounting, and Investments (Front and Middle office). We process Treasury's financial transactions, provide visibility into Treasury's assets such as cash, commercial paper, and other instruments, enhance controller-ship, and eliminate manual touch point.

We own different set of software and services to optimize cost and meet the compliance requirements. We own new bank on-boarding into Amazon systems and responsible to enable 100% cash visibility and automate accounting transactions for all treasury transactions.

A day in the life

As an IT Application Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Application, System, and Data Engineers, and technical program managers to create and operate finance systems that support Amazon's global footprint. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes working with big data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts that are typically being defined in real-time. Above all else, the successful candidate will be a passionate builder of talent and teams. As a leader, you will drive architectural and design choices, invent new features, develop distributed services, and build a scalable, service-oriented platform for our teams. You will own the goals and roadmap of your team, along with the strategic direction of your software and shape of your organization. Successful candidates will be high-bandwidth leaders who can cut through the noise, simplify relentlessly, deliver results, and build great teams around themselves.

Basic Qualifications

Experience with Treasury Management System (Kyriba), bank statement ingestion and reporting, treasury payment configuration and processing via H2H/Swift. A strong desire to work in a fast paced dynamic environment. Exposure to very large distributed systems and knowledge in Kyriba and Integrations. Experience in treasury applications. Experience prioritizing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines • Robust fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and problem solving. • Experience and Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. • Able to work in a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Kyriba Configuration Management and new bank integrations. • Understanding of Kyriba technologies and solutions in AWS, and Enterprise applications Infrastructure. • Experience in communicating with users, technical teams, and senior management to about requirements, product features and technical designs • Proven track record of leading software/Applications Engineering projects and influencing engineering best practices within the team.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
