Amazon QA Team Manager, Print Quality Assurance in Hyderabad, India

Description

About the team:

Print Quality Assurance (PQA) ensures book files meet our Guidelines prior to becoming available for customer purchase. These files would have already passed through the first stages in the publishing process. The PQA check determines whether or not the file will become available for customer purchase based on whether the files will print correctly according to manufacturing standards, and whether the files or metadata could potentially mislead readers who are purchasing the books.

  • Implement associate coaching and identify holes in training based on trends

  • Effectively answer questions for Quality Assurance Leads/SAs and guide them to achieve the business goals

  • Work autonomously to meet targets and timelines

  • Meet productivity targets

  • Analyze metrics, identify performance trends, and report data to management

  • Track and manage individual performance and suggest opportunities for professional growth

  • Serve as role model by displaying judgement, positive work ethic, and interpersonal skills

  • Foster effective relationships with both QAAs, QASs and the QAL in a team environment

  • Maintain schedule adherence for the team

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Hyderabad, TS, IND

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of team management experience

  • 1+ years of program or project management experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, especially MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint at an advanced level

  • Experience leading process improvements

  • Experience working with technology teams and solving operational issues using technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MYSQL, and ETL Manager and working with large data sets

  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts

  • Experience in managing critical operational processes, with SLA responsibility
