Amazon seeks an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in the development and implementation of a comprehensive financial reporting platform to support the Worldwide Amazon Stores. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing integrated financial reporting tools and platforms. The role operates in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and will have the opportunity to influence a multi-year finance transformation effort. As part of a Worldwide stores team, you will be given the tools and exposure to help drive change in one of the fastest growing, largest and most complex supply chains in the world.
This role provides the perfect opportunity for a developer to continue their career development on a wide variety of green fields projects and expand their skill set into other technologies within the AWS stack and other technologies like Python, TM1 and TMPy.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implementation of financial data solutions, ensuring the overall architecture meets customer needs
Experience building OLAP based solutions leveraging TM1, Essbase, Kylin, or similar technologies
Experience developing data transformations using python, pyspark, scala, etc
Manage AWS resources including Redshift, Lambda, Glue, and Step Functions.
Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from wide variety of data sources
Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, including automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
Collaborate with business users to dive deep and understand what they need to support their work
Diagnose and resolve operational issues, perform detailed root cause analysis, and respond to suggestions for enhancements.
Identify process improvement opportunities to drive innovation

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of data engineering experience
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience with SQL
Bachelor's degree
Experience with TM1/Planning Analytics, Essbase, Kylin, or similar technologies
Proficiency with MS Excel
Knowledge of corporate financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
Working experience with TM1Py and the TM REST API
Experience with design & delivery of formal training curriculum and programs
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint
Project management, scoping, reporting, and scheduling experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
Able to work on a diverse team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
