Amazon Senior Program Manager, Change Management in Chicago, Illinois

The Worldwide Retail Growth and Development team is responsible for the strategic planning, acquisition, design, construction, launch, and maintenance of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores' real estate assets. This includes Whole Foods Market, Amazon grocery stores, and industrial properties that fulfill online grocery orders.
WWRGD Growth and Development Change Management is looking for a Program Manager with project management and design or construction experience to own strategic and tactical delivery of change requests that physically impact our stores. This role requires scoping and creating project plans for physical changes to our stores, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating across a variety of stakeholder teams.
Key job responsibilities
-Manage and drive continuous improvement of the change management intake and decision-making mechanism
-Own cross-team coordination, project/process management and executive presentation. Ensure alignment with business stakeholders and internal teams such as Design, Construction, Finance, and Capital Planning
-Critically assess change requests and ensure business justification, financial analysis, and timeline impacts are quantified. Identify appropriate stakeholders and approvers for change requests, and manage mechanisms to gain alignment
-Dive deep in understanding our stores and the impacts change requests may have on customers, operators, as well as Design and Construction teams.
-Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery
-Own program communication, accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate
-Establish and drive to meet operational goals and metrics for the portfolio
-Present operational metrics regularly to the leadership teams
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
