Description
Amazon Kindle is a revolutionary reading device and one of the most innovative and fastest growing businesses at Amazon. We are seeking a enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about quality and delivering the best customer experience to the readers.
We own the design, architecture, and implementation of a surface to enable reading innovation across file formats and operating systems. Our software supports Kindle customers on all major mobile surfaces and Kindle devices. Our engineers enjoy working as a team and welcome the opportunity to lead whenever possible.
The Role:
Development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses.
Work with a team of quality engineering professions to ensure the highest quality product delivery.
Work with developers to identify the root cause and resolve issues.
Use professional software engineering practices & best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Communicate with internal teams and management on requirements and status updates.
Work in test driven development and establish test infrastructures
Automate the validation of user interfaces.
Interact and coordinate test activities within teams.
Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.

Key job responsibilities
Serve as a single POC for all Kindle content related validation and own certifying all new devices/OS launched and upgraded.
Participating in evaluations of new features designs and demo, drawing attention to content rendering issues.
Collaborate across teams to develop existing and future QA best practices
Recommend and partner with Dev team in building QA tools, dashboards and testing frameworks to improve operational excellence of design, product, and engineering teams.
Provide content rendering and non functional testing expertise and innovate on behalf of our customers
Come up with mechanisms to engage customers being the voice of customers
Work closely with user research and other teams to identify the top customer pain points and new feature needs. Suggest and share recommendations to build new products
Collaborate across teams, domains and influence stakeholders to scale our QA processes, tooling, and features.

Basic Qualifications
1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience in manual testing
Experience in automation testing
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in API & Mobile testing
Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
