Amazon is seeking a highly analytical, meticulous and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to become a key member of its Center of Statutory Accounting Support based in Bratislava. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Amazon accounting teams across EMEA to ensure high quality and timely deliverables in the statutory and financial compliance space.

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 1,683 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Key job responsibilities

• Preparing deliverables to support financial reporting needs, including statutory close support, analytics and supplementary financial analysis;

• Supporting corporate accounting teams across EMEA in preparing statutory financial statements;

• Working closely with business partners across EMEA, and globally, to maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes.

Bratislava, SVK

Basic Qualifications

• University degree in business/economics/accounting;

• Experience in Accounting

• Experience with IFRS or US GAAP accounting and in the preparation of financial statements;

• Ability to work to tight deadlines on critical projects;

• Detail-oriented yet able to reflect on and understand the big picture;

• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written;

• Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications;

• Experience in using SQL;

• Additional language skills, such as German, French, Italian, Spanish or Turkish;

• Must be comfortable working with global and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced company.
