Amazon seeks a Principal Finance Manager to lead an evolving space of working with a central business team driving Marketing, prime and life cycle objectives across APAC, MENA and LATAM locales. The person will provide thought leadership on frameworks and mental models (where none exist) to drive investments decisions which will be used by the respective country business and finance teams. The key role expected of the Principal finance manager is to be partners and co-pilots of the business, bringing ideas, insights, strategic analysis, and decision support as we scale, while simultaneously ensuring we hold a high bar for our controllership obligations. The Principal Finance Manager position is based in Bangalore.

Key responsibilities: Successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business. He/She should be able to operate in a matrix organizational structure, influence without authority and drive stakeholder management and alignment. This individual will be an active member of the leadership team.

• Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business and finance teams across countries to ensure effective finance and cost management.

• Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives.

• Establish and maintain operating and business metrics.

• Develop and influence mental models and frameworks which influence investment decision making

• Deliver and implement an end to end goals management process across the business team.

Preferred qualifications:

• Should have proven track record of having partnered in building a new org within a large stable company.

• Should have experience making local Vs. central trade-offs

• Should be adept at managing senior stakeholders in a multi-country set-up

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience

  • 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes
