Amazon Senior Business Analyst, Amazon’s Worldwide Returns and ReCommerce (WWRR) in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Amazon WWRR is comprised of business, product, operational, program, software engineering and data teams that manage the life of a returned or damaged product from a customer to the warehouse and on to its next best use. Our work is broad and deep: we train machine learning models to automate routing and find signals to optimize re-use; we invent new channels to give products a second life; we develop world-class product support to help customers love what they buy; we pilot smarter product evaluations; we work from the customer backward to find ways to make the return experience remarkably delightful and easy; and we do it all while scrutinizing our business with laser focus.

Key job responsibilities

  • Deep dive data to understand drivers of business and operational performance

  • Build models to forecast future performance and provide input to key business planning cycles

  • Influence goal setting and targets for teams across the entire RLS organization

  • Develop new metrics/ KPIs to identify areas of opportunity and ways to drive improvement

  • Understand variances to plan and create actionable bridges to address

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and profitability

  • Engage with stakeholders across commercial, operations, and finance teams to socialize findings and recommendations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience in financial/business analysis

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering , analytics, mathematics, statistics or a related technical or quantitative field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
