Amazon HR Generalist(6-8 months Temp) in Beijing, China

Description

Our HR Partners are known for their knowledge of HR programs, processes and tools. They act as HR consultant to clients (mainly front-line people managers) to create a positive employee experience, offering consistent HR advice on people matters. They operate and are seen as subject matter experts, having sound knowledge in company and local programs, processes and policies, offering a strong and compelling point of view around HR related matters, thus building credibility. They are committed to collaboration with multiple HR Business Partners, HR specialists and people managers across the various businesses. A key area of focus for the HRP is to increase manager capability, which should enable them to be more self-sufficient and drive manager education on important people programs, policies, tools and processes. Whilst doing this, the HRPs are continuously raising the bar on harmonizing practice across a geography and sharing best practices.

Key job responsibilities

• Triage incoming questions from supported Managers, resolving some queries right away and redirecting others for further action

• Prepare and issue formal employee letters and documents, including coordination of mailing delivery and e-filing of issued documents

• Support arrangement, documentation and minute-taking for employee-relations meetings, administrative hearing sessions and other tasks

• Interpret and communicate a wide array of policies and expectations effectively as a subject matter expert in HR, acting as a key, reliable information source for supported Managers

• Research local legal and compliance requirements when necessary

• Escalate broken processes and negative employee experiences, continuously Diving Deep to find new ways to improve the experience and speed of resolution

• Track, hand off, and/or resolve cases in an internal case management application

• Perform quality audits of casework throughout the organization using a standard framework

• Participate in or lead small to medium-sized projects to improve the People Managers experience

• Provide operational and/or administrative support in diverse subject areas, including, training delivery logistics and on-site support

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business

• Fluency in additional language(s)

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills

• Enjoys operating in a high-pressure, fast-moving, ambiguous environment

• Able to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities with confidence

• Keen attention to detail, with the ability to identify and flag patterns for further analysis

• Comfortable learning and using multiple internal tools and technologies

• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to learn new, varying, and complex concepts quickly
