Amazon Device Associate III, Hardware Compute Group in Bangalore, India

Description

A Device Associate's pivotal role revolves around comprehensive thermal testing and creating meticulous documentation of test results. They meticulously execute test scenarios, leveraging Python based automation frameworks and swiftly grasps new procedures. A Device Associate is also responsible for successful and on time delivery of results.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Perform thermal tests for consumer electronic devices.

  2. Perform modifications to automation code for performance testing; write/modify Python code as needed.

  3. Diagnose and debug any simple hardware or software-related issues in consumer electronic products.

  4. Set up devices for test use cases, following device-related commands.

  5. Interact with cross-functional teams, such as thermal, electrical, and software teams, in different geographic locations (US, China, India).

  6. Deliver results with high-fidelity test results, requiring minimal guidance, and proactively report the test status

  7. Prepare detailed test plans to assess the thermal health of consumer electronic products, considering regular and corner end-consumer scenarios.

  8. Maintain inward and outbound documents for all lab equipment and devices required.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics or a related field.

• Proficient in Linux environment and Python.

• Experience in testing electronic devices or embedded systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Attention to detail and ability to document test procedures and results.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in thermal testing of consumer electronic devices
