Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detail driven, have excellent problem solving abilities, and be able to communicate and influence at all levels.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate, results-oriented, innovative Senior Technical Program Manager to lead multiple programs to deliver solutions that keep our customers, warehouse associates and deliver partners safe. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong understanding of core software development and is passionate about technology and wants to solve high-impact business problems. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction for a multiple large programs. You will work with Software Managers, Program Managers, Product Managers, and Software Developers across organizations to define our roadmaps and deliver solutions.

About the team

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers Amazon’s global fulfillment network. We invent and deliver software, hardware, and data science solutions that orchestrate processes, robots, machines, and people. We harmonize the physical and virtual world so Amazon customers can get what they want, when they want it.

Safety & Compliance

AFT’s Safety & Compliance team owns an innovative, data-driven information management solution that identifies, tracks, and mitigates safety & compliance concerns for business lines across Amazon.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Austin, TX, USA | Bellevue, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
