The Senior Technical Program Manager in Talent Acquisition experience and Innovation – Candidate Generation (CanGen) organization will lead the technology initiatives across multiple organizations, driving diverse initiatives supporting the Global Teams. We're looking for a unique technical expert to drive cross-organizational projects to build new products that enable recruiters to work at scale across amazon.jobs and our internal hiring experience. You will set the bar high, work with finance and business teams who bring unique challenges, and you will have to deliver results at a rapid pace.

Key job responsibilities

  • Understand the processes to define, design, and deliver business technical solutions-based on customer needs.

  • Collaborate with technical and design teams to define and design the product with the best customer experience.

  • Drive the implementation and delivery of products.

  • Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact.

A day in the life

This opportunity requires technical, problem-solving, delivering results attitude. CanGen team is looking for a technical leader to play key role operating and enhancing the applications/system/services used in the candidate generation. This position will be responsible for leading the support and operational activities. Core activities will include supporting new programs/projects, creating operational enhancements and technical simplifiers. This role will be responsible for delivering high quality service to Amazon.com's growing global business. The ideal candidate works independently, enjoys tackling ambiguous yet complex problems, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has fun while doing it all!

About the team

The CanGen organization is responsible for products enabling job seekers to effectively find the right positions for them and recruiters to quickly identify candidates and move them through our interview process. The team is also responsible for creating and maintaining compliance related activities as per Amazon rules and standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Perform gap analysis to determine system configuration and development changes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • 7+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
