Amazon Proactive Content Lead, Seller News, Seller Strategic Communications in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Amazon is looking for a Sr. Marketing Manager of Proactive Content supporting Seller News, who is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive proactive content strategy to drive better readership and engagement with Seller News. This role will be a finder, seeking out newsworthy content important to Selling Partners and testing content strategies for efficacy and engagement.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can ideate high-performing content, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and analyze data to continuously optimize the content program.

Key job responsibilities

Develop and implement a content strategy aligned with broader business and marketing objectives

Manage the full content lifecycle, including ideation, creation, promotion, and measurement

Establish voice and goal objectives by content type, leaning into experimentation when relevant

Partner across relevant stakeholders teams to find content relevant to publish on Seller News

Identify relevant topics, themes, and formats to attract and engage the target selling partner audience

Oversee the content creation process, collaborating with editors, business teams, and subject matter experts, including proactive calendaring

Monitor content performance metrics and generate insights to inform future content planning

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities

About the team

The Selling Partner Communities (SPC) organization builds lasting connections with, and drives the success of our Selling Partners (SPs). SPC's products, such as Seller News and Forums, are actively used by millions of SPs worldwide to engage with Amazon and foster an active and inclusive community and information exchange among SPs. These products also provide valuable insights into SP sentiment and issues. We are currently re-imagining how to enable our SPs to engage with other sellers, form Communities, and interact with Amazon.

Seller Strategic Communications (SSC) works to ensure that every communication WW SPs receive from Amazon empowers their success in our stores, and reinforces our commitment to being a partner they love doing business with.

The role will report to the Manager of Content Programs, who oversees content quality and relevancy initiatives across Seller outbound communications.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience with test and learn, marketing optimization, and experimentation

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • MBA

  • A healthy curiosity about what's going on within an organization and know how to put out your feelers to the right places and translate the obtained information into user friendly communication

  • Able to look for new and engaging ways to communicate

  • Strong news judgment, excellent writing skills, and experience leading newsroom(s)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
