Do you have significant experience negotiating complex technology deals and an interest in building new fleet products and services? Amazon is seeking an experienced contract negotiator and trusted business advisor to lead business strategy and own deal negotiations end-to-end for the Global Fleet and Products organization. This role requires a unique subset of BD skills to go beyond standard deal negotiations, translating technical product requirements into contract terms, assessing comprehensive business risks, and negotiating terms for a wide range of complex technology deals. This is a unique opportunity to influence product and program strategy and lead complex contract negotiations for high-impact programs across fleet electrification, service and maintenance products, and other fleet technologies. This role will be a key member of the Global Fleet and Products team, and will assist in the launch of new products and services that directly impact Last Mile delivery operations.

Amazon is looking for a Principal Tech Business Development to serve as a primary business lead for our Global Fleet and Products organization. This role will help provide guidance and expertise to product teams to influence product and program strategy.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead complex deal negotiations end-to-end involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary business lead for strategic and high-impact programs with heavy involvement in third party vendor evaluation and selection

  • Negotiate a wide range of deal types in collaboration with Global Fleet and Products teams

  • Lead required diligence, develop the deal structure and negotiating strategy, and own the negotiations end-to-end to closure

  • Influence business and product strategy as a trusted advisor

  • Interface with C-Suite executives from companies of all sizes (from start-ups to industry leaders)

  • Partner across multiple internal Amazon teams (e.g., finance, legal, corporate development, operations, etc.) to achieve team goals

  • Manage large-scale product development and/or technology relationships

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years in technology business development, corporate development, or similar function

  • 10+ years of experience working end-to-end negotiation, including identifying, developing and executing successful partnerships,

  • 3+ year of experience working with internet, cloud, hardware, and mobile technologies

  • 3+ years of experience with a range of deal types, including direct experience with product development, technology licensing and integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Experience with technology licensing and co-development

  • Knowledge to build and maintain a network of relationships to help navigate complex situations and foster long-term opportunities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
