AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Are you an industry expert that has helped transform a large ISV (Independent Software Vendor) organization using public cloud platforms? Can you work equally well with executives and technologists, leading high-visibility, high-impact projects that are technically broad and deep? Are you excited about introducing lean transformation models and advanced industry solution to traditional enterprise organizations? Do you have experiences on customer engagement by your industry expertise and code-based solutions, especially Generative AI related use cases?

We are actively looking for candidates to join our Dedicated Industry Solution Architect team who has deep experience in conducting industry solution guidance development, promotion and breakthrough in the ISV industry. The candidate must have solid expertise in software engineering theory & practical experience, system architecture, cloud computing, emerging technologies like Generative AI is essential. Proficiency in one or multiple programming languages and frameworks is preferred.

Key job responsibilities

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're hiring ISV industry solutions architect to work with ISV customers and their partners in transforming their organization and IT landscape. Dedicated ISV ISA engage with customers to understand their business drivers, conduct to develop code-based solution guidance, drive PoC(proven-of-concept), run hands-on workshop and ultimately driving adoption of the AWS platform in industry priority use cases.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about:

  • In-depth understanding of the ISV industry and customer needs, identifying motivators for cloud adoption and unlocking enterprise challenges.

  • Knowledge of market & technical trends and competitive landscape to formulate effective industry solution strategies

  • Engaging with C-level executives to define and execute on technical architecure.

  • Lead lighthouse accounts lifelong cloud transformation and innovation projects

  • Soliciting feedback from enterprise customers and influencing future iterations of the AWS platform.

  • Defining and executing on the strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, Partner Team).

  • Build the code-based solutions, drive PoC and run hands-on workshop with partners and customers directly.

This role provides a unique opportunity to lead innovations and transformational change with ISV industry customers in their journey to cloud.

A day in the life

An ISA works with AWS industry solution virtual team, industry account team, partner team closely. An ISA would drive industry PoC and technical validation in industry prioritize use case to technically validate opportunities and influence incremental revenue growth within the industry. Also, an ISA would continuously drive developing industry-specific solution guidance for strategic and recommended use cases, even in areas where mature solutions are not yet available. This proactive approach will help expedite solution readiness and enable large-scale new workloads or migrations. An ISA explores new use cases with significant growth potential across various industries by supporting industry customer request which use cases are not strategic or recommended in industry solution map.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

  • Bachelor's degree
